Important - Consolidating My Substacks: A Fresh Start for "THE PROMPT for Microsoft Security"
It just feels right.
Hey everyone,
I’m making a small but important change to how I deliver content to you. After careful thought, I’ve decided to consolidate my Substacks to streamline things and make it easier for readers to find everything in one place.
The Change
The weekly newsletter “THE PROMPT for Microsoft Security” (previously at microsoftdefender.substack.com) is now moving to Rod’s Blog on Substack.
New home: https://rodtrent.substack.com/s/the-prompt-for-microsoft-security
This is where the weekly newsletter will deliver from going forward.
I’ll keep the original microsoftdefender.substack.com site up for a while so nothing gets lost in transition, and I’ll eventually complete a full merge.
Why Consolidate?
This move lets me focus my energy on one primary publication (Rod’s Blog) while continuing to deliver the same high-quality weekly security insights, quick hits, tool roundups, and Microsoft Defender/XDR/Sentinel/Purview content you’ve come to expect. It also makes it simpler for new readers to discover all my writing—tech deep-dives, AI agent discussions, nostalgia pieces, faith reflections, and more—in a single spot.
What You Should Do
If you’re already subscribed to “THE PROMPT for Microsoft Security,” you don’t need to do anything—your subscription will follow the newsletter to its new home.
For the best experience, I encourage you to head over and subscribe (or re-subscribe) directly at the new link:

Thank You
A huge thank you to everyone who has supported both publications. Your readership, comments, shares, and encouragement mean a lot and keep me motivated to keep creating useful content. This consolidation is all about making things better—fewer places to check, stronger focus, and even more value for you.
I’m excited about this next chapter and can’t wait to keep delivering timely Microsoft security intelligence straight to your inbox.
Stay secure!
